Wonderful! Such a very unusual image of an American coot, and captured so well. I really, really enjoyed seeing this image.

Great action and a wonderful pose - and I always love the big green FEET.
You did a great job of exposing here - much harder to do than it would seem.
The detail appears sharp, but it's always hard to tell in a smaller image.
Might need a bit of CW rotation to level the splash of running.
Nice!

A very nice image with great action! Your reflections look ok on this, so I don't think rotation is necessary. Love the water splash! Sharon

John,

Terrific action, love the big feet! You handled a difficult exposure very well, details and sharpness look good.

Great action, John. Techs look good and I like the dynamics of the bird and the water spray. :toast:

Love this John. I like that both feet are out of the water and the front foot just so. Would love to see a larger version to assess sharpness, but from the small version it lools really good. Very well done with great techs.

John: Very cool. Great timing with both feet out of the water. That splash is an extra visual element that really helps tell the story. Blurred back wing keeps the flow going with the motion. Nicely done.

Great timing on this action shot John. Love the position of the front foot just above the water's surface and the splash following the bird. The slightly towards us angle also works great.

I love these running Coot shots, they always remind me to those so-called Jesus Lizards of South America that runs across the water's surface to get away from danger :^)

Wonderful capture John :^)

Coots are underrated. They frequently put on a great show with their water walker routine. You have captured it well here.

Great action image. The wing seems transparent, as mystical as it seems to be able to run across the top of the water. Good techs as well, John.

very good. What i most like is the fact that both feet are in the air. I would have liked to see a larger one.
