Located a PAir of Killdeer near my house. Seems they have 4 chicks...first time I have ever seen them this young. Cute little things and super fast on the ground!

Too Cute!! Wonderful sharpness, the low angle works great. Grasses are a big bonus. My only wish is that the comp wasn't so centered.

How cute! Your DOF is perfect. I like how the surrounding grasses let us know how small this chick is.

What a great shot Eric. This bird is really cute. Very nice angle and a good exposure. Love all the different weeds in the image. They really add IMO.

I've never seen one this young! Darling!!
It's looks like a perfect miniature adult, as opposed to all the young chicks of things like stilts and avocets who just look like generic fluff balls.
Wonderful catch - good pose, great angle, bright eye, nice environment.

Awesome clean view of this little cutie, looks like you caught him mid stride. Excellent fluffy detail, I really like the eye level perspective. Sweet Photo Eric :toast:

Very, very cute little guy you captured here Eric! Nice work and good detail. I might be tempted to tone down the contrast just a tiny, tiny bit if it were mine, but that is just my opinion. Overall, very nice work!!! :toast:

This is really nice, Eric. You've captured its young, full of life demeanor. Techs are great, also.

Excellent as posted. They are hard to catch in a photo at this stage, and when you do it is harder still to get the feathers looking correct. You've managed that very well here. I love the greenery surrounding the bird and the composition works just fine for me.

He is just adorable! I love the low angle! I really like the catchlight in his eye, the walking pose, and his colours against the background.
