Frost Pocket

Cold front came through last night, all the trees were rimmed in frost this morning. Every twig on these Aspens wore a fuzzy white coat. I thought it was almost as pretty as they would be in a nice fresh new leaf green. Now it's snowing again. Shot this in RAW, on a tripod. Comments appreciated.

A pretty scene Nancy. I like the way the scene is framed by the trees in the FG. Funny to see all the snow - I just talked to my wife, and she and my grand daughter were headed out for a swim in the pool. What a difference a little geography makes.

I agree with Bill's comments. The snow on the ground seems to have a bit of a blue tinge to it. I don't know if it is my monitor or not.

The freezing / frost on those trees is quite amazing. The WB may need to be a bit warmer.

Nicely framed scene Nancy! What has been said about the snow I do agree with but I'll also ask if there was a lot of wind. If there was and you point was to capture still trees than I understand your settings. If there wasn't much wind and your camera was on a tripod then I would suggest dropping ISO to as low as possible. f/11 with 27mm did give you a great DOF but similar DOF you could achieve with f/7.1 therefore the ISO could be dropped down a tod :)
Now you made me miss snow so I'll better stop looking at your capture coz we have NO snow here in Pert at all....ever ;)

Like the aspens and their "fuzzy white coats" Sandy
Also like the way you've framed them with evergreens here, well done! :wavey:
