Gallery: Weekly ChallengePosted April 17, 201168 views8 comments
At the west coast of Portugal near Vila do Bispo, taken in August 2000. Only some waveriders looking for solitude left their footprints in the sand.

Analog shot with Yashica T5, Carl Zeiss Tessar 35mm/3.5, Kodak color negative film, ISO 200

Great colors--blue and gold, Silvia! I like the tonal variations in the
sand from left to right. The footprints suggest that someone visiting
here does so for solitude as your title indicates. This certainly meets
the weekly challenge.

Ditto on the colors. I also like the grainy, 3-D, analog look here. This is a nice change of pace.

The complimentary colors are really nice in this shot... and that rich turquoise in the water is wonderful. I love the foot prints leading us down the beach, and the details in the water on the bottom left. Very pretty shot, Silvia!

Hi Silvia,
Very nice I like the bottom part of the photo a lot, the sea foam, golden sand and the prints make a great trio.

I like the way the shot is balanced - wave remnant on the left, footprints on the right. I also like the way the footprints draw my eye into the scene.

Beautiful color Silvia. I too love the foot prints in the sand. Also great to see a film capture!

A good use of lines to lead the eye into and through the frame. The warm and cool tones work well together here. This looks like a wonderful place to let the sounds and smells of the ocean ebb away ones stress.
