I was going through my archive preparing some stockfiles, not an activity i enjoy by any means, but this time i stumbled over a folder filled with mountainscenes from last year.
I had almost forgot how many moments i had captured during a few productive trips. When i saw these files i felt an instant urge to climb a mountain again. The beauty of the windblown plateaus illuminated by the setting sun is something i enjoy equally as much as a great display of the aurora. Is this one good enough to include in my portfolio? opinions please….

This is beautiful, Arild! Your images always have such a surreal and other worldly look to them.

The warm vs, cool is so nice. This is very surreal, almost like a dream. I think this would fit nicely in your portfolio.

A definite yes for the stock files, Arlid. I love the combination of light and shadow; but what I really find fascinating in this scene is the wind-blown snow hanging in the air. It imparts a very dreamy mood to the image.

Very ethereal Arlid. The mix of blues and yellows is beautiful. I also like the curve that brings me to the dancing snow.

I have to agree..the wind blowing around adds such a surreal look to this image. When I first saw it, I had to study the image for a while to fully grasp and appreciate the scene.

Interesting. I thought this was a coastal shot from the thumb. Pleasantly surprised for sure.

I love the atmospheric quality of this. The comp feels quite strong to me as well with the sweeping curve of light/shadow and the sunlit ridge. Nice work.
