A vertical pano of the same little tree in my last post. This time, processed brighter, maybe influenced by all the Meet Your Neighbours stuff I have been doing.

Aperture: 13

Beautiful light and atmosphere Paul. I like this better for its high key presentation as well as the better sense of scale it provides.

Your choice of a vertical pano gives a great emphasis to the height of the bare trees which are anchored nicely by the small pine. The mood caused by the fog enhances the image. Beautiful presentation!

I sorta remember that last one, and this one is a far better presentation for the reasons that Eva noted.
The vertical pano. crop works a treat here!

Wonderful atmosphere and great vision to capitalize on it, Paul. Very well done. Long skinny tall stuff almost never works for me but this is a perfect exception.

Very nice capture Paul! Really great feeling coming from it. The crop does add a lot to that scene :)) I see it hanging on the wall of some gallery :)

People don't do vertical panos Paul, you can't do that! A little tiny tree surrounded by gaint piano keys. Like!

Very nice image Paul. You've captured some great atmosphere and I also like the vertical pano. Maybe if the right hand side of the small tree was against some lighter background it would be even better but still great as is.

I love it, Paul. It feels so mysterious and magical and the tall/narrow crop works very well.

Very dramatic - remnids me of an opening scene from a horror movie or something like that

I'm generally not a fan of vertical panos but this seems to work nicely. Beautiful mood.

Looks like I'm not the only one who has a general distaste for vertical panos but, that aside, think this succeeds very well in the vertical pano format! Composition and processing look great to me.

The foggy feelings here give special taste for the dimentions among the scene
Well done

Congrats.

Terrific image. I've been wishing I could make a forest image, fog or no fog, like this in south Florida since forever - so far no go. I'm envious.

What a neat contrast in "grown up versus not" I really like the soft foggy effect and the pan crop. Congratulations

Fine vertical take. Esp like the subtle colors and the way the foreground tree is sort of recapitulated straight above it and in softer focus.

Wow, that is an awesome image! I love how it looks all foggy! Great comp, I really like how it looks like some of the trees just keep going higher and higher without stopping.
