Here's a shot from the summer of 2009 taken in my neighbors flower garden. I hope to get back this summer for some more photo chances.

Canon Rebel with tripod, Canon 100mm macro, 1/400sec, f/5, ISO 100, RAW conversion adjusting sat and sharpness.

Wow, they have a lot of peonies! Looks like a wonderful spot to get lost in for a day taking pictures. Beautiful colors on this picture and good gradually fading DOF. I am usually a tight cropper but the top flower feels like it needs some more breathing room at the top IMO

Great swath of colour John. If this year is like 2009 then you'll have a feast of opportunites. With so many blooms you'll have a wide range of type of shots.

Nice colors John and I like the diagaonal bias in the composition. My only reservation is the space in the viewer's upper right corner. I might consider a crop down from the top to eliminate it but not sure. Unfortunately that would also hit the nice pink bloom in the upper fg. Beautiful image as posted.

Nice splash of colors. I particularly like the light causing the petals to look a light translucent. Look forward to see more flowers posts from this this year.

Love the lighting and the color! I also like your DOF with the flowers in the BG blurred. I can almost smell them from here

Peonies are one of my all-time favorites and this is a nice one.
