At dusk on the shore near Dubrovnik, Croatia. The city lies so close by the sea, telling us how the life and fate of the inhabitants was for centuries interwoven with the sea.

Lovely serene image. I like your choice of rocks for the foreground.

Your choice of portrait format was perfect for this scene.
This would have been a good opportunity to use a graduated neutral density filter. It would have allowed you to keep that gorgeous sky just the way it is while brightening the beach and rocks.

Very tranquil scene Peter. I like the rocks in the foreground as well especially the rocks in the eroded pockets. Beautiful color as well. Must be a joy to be on this beach at sunset.

Very nice scene Peter :) FG rocks, its details are great! A nik (for me only perhaps) is the sky which could be toned down a bit as it takes a tod too much attention from the scene. Also, there is a noticeable fringe over the edge of the city. Did you use f/14 to get a really great DOF? Reason I'm asking is at 14mm I suspect it would be enough to use <=f/8 to get necessary DOF. This way this capture could be taken with lower than 400 ISO. Otherwise, a nice composition, well taken capture Peter. Now I see what my mates were telling me about those spectacular rocks on the Croatian beaches. Would love to go there one day :))

Well, now I have to add Croatia to my long list of places to visit... That's a beautifully tranquil scene.

I really like those foreground rocks, enough so that I'd recommend a comp that was lower to make the rocks fill more of the foreground (at the expense of some of the sand).
