It must be the time of year, since this is the third Rue Anemone shot this week. It's fun to see how we all "see" differently. I was working with my 100 mm macro on 56mm of extension tubes so I needed no wind, which worked most of time until shortly after this shot, when the sun tried to pop through the overcast and the wind game up. Processed in LR3 and PS3 using TKs luminosity masks. I noticed hints of pink/purple in the view finder but wasn't sure until I started processing the photo. (5D, 100mm macro + 56mm extension, 1/125s @ f/8, ISO 800, tripod)

I like how the flower seems to pop out from the BG. The white flower against the monochrome/ brown really works :wavey:

Beautifully done Mark. Great exposure and processing and I don't think you could ask for a better bg for the subject. An exceptional image for my tastes.

Mark:
An excellent image. Working at this high mag is really challenging and you have done well here with good DOF and sharpness. :toast:

A beautiful bloom, well composed and with great detail. She really pops against the darker OOF BG. Well done!

Well done Mark. Great detail in the delicate petals and I like the nuetral color surroundings. The color of the surroundings along with your DOF choice really make the flower "pop" . :toast:
