Parrot Tulip
by Craig Strand
Parrot tulips are a personal favorite variety. The local bulb farm said they are generally late bloomers among the tulips but I found this and a few others opening to make an appearance.

This is exquisitely beautiful. The sheen on the petals and the textures are just so nicely done. Interesting that you take the trouble to produce a sharp image and then softening it with soft focus... with great effect. The only minor nit the the strong shadow just to the left of the stem beneath the flower which tends to draw the eye... you might like to change that to the brown bg color with viveza or blur the border of the shadow. A very fine image
