Decided to work on getting some stonechats over the weekend, managed a few, so tricky to get close to, heres one from yesterday.

Canon 1DMK4, Canon 500f4L + 1.4 convertor, ISO 400, f7.1, 1/1250

A very clean background, Karen, with some unusual colours. They complement the bird well though.

This certainly leaps out at you, looks like the light was a little harsh which you have handled extremely well... the comp is nice with the slight curve created by the perch and the birds head turn... as mentioned that is a nice bg...

Very nice indeed. These are few and far between here after the past two winters. The pose is great and the perch is fine - can't make my mind up about the pink - the pastels are nice in their own right but not the colour I associate with them.
