By converting the image to B&W you've chosen to accentuate the interplay of the various shapes and textures. I think it works beautifully. This is only my own bias and opinion, but if it were my photo I would probably try experimenting with sharpening the foreground rocks a bit -- but I do say "experimenting," I'm not implying that it would be a definite improvement. It's a beautiful image.

I like the toning you have used Richard it really adds to the moodiness of this image. Nice work.

Richard, you have succeeded very well in capturing the beautiful mist. I really like the top 2/3rds of the image. I wonder if it's possible to open up the shadows in the foreground rocks. At the moment, they appear to be sitting like lumps of coal. They help lead the eye to the triangular shaped and cluster of small rocks and mist. That, IMO, is the real subject of the image.
Well seen.

Love the monochromatic theme! Could use better definition. Maybe some highlights or contrast.

Beautiful conversion. The underplayed contrast works well in this scene. I might back off the vignetting in the corners, a bit; on the other hand, the darkening might be exaggerated by the black frame. Very dreamy, beautiful capture.
