What a splendid almost mirror image of these two Lionesses :^) How fortunate you were to have such beautiful colour in the sky as a back drop too. A very pleasing picture Vincent, very well done :^)

The lions have my attention. Not only the ears, but the white markings on the chins and nose areas make them very pronounced in the frame even though they seem fairly far away. Not that I don't like the frame, I think its composed very well for the subjects. One thing I'd play with though, is I'd try a little more contrast in the sky.

Vincent the mood, composition and soft light here makes this a stand-out image. I don't think the 720px version does it justice, in fact it seems degraded in IQ when compared to the larger version, and therefore I am glad you posted it! :toast:

Nice job in blending back the sky - I often do that to convey the mood I saw with my eyes at the time.

What a cool scene. Nice of them to pose for you like this. It's such a pretty sky, but the image does seem a bit washed out to me (same thing Wayne was getting at I think).

The whole scene is lovely, Vincent, but the light on the lioness' faces seems unreal, especially with the sunset in the bg. Maybe, a tad less brightening on the foreground would have made it more 'acceptable', but that's just my opinion.

Great animalscape Vincent! Love the comp and suggestion of room it provides and with a very nice lightshow to go with it! :toast:

I just love the glorious skies and this looks very fascinating ! Lions too are adding lots of value to the frame.
If this was mine, I would have preferred darker foreground. When you see this kind of scene with naked eye, the foreground normally appears somewhat darker than the sky.

I like the minimalist feel to this composition and the lovely sky adds drama.

Nice feel of the african twilight, complete with its queens. You caught them posing nicely :toast:
