Lenten Rose

I set up a little makeshift indoor studio to do some flower shooting since our weather is not cooperating too well for much outdoor shooting. This is a closeup of a Lenten Rose (Helleborus--Ivory Prince) that I picked from my flower bed.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/29 for 1.3 sec. ISO 200.

Absolutely gorgeous Carolyn. Lovely color palette, superb detail and lots of interesting droplets. A very strong composition for my tastes as well. Not a thing I'd change on this one.

Very Nice. There are lots of things about this image that grab my eye, especially the details and those amazing colors. The dark area at LRC seems a little funky but it is what it was. Well done. :toast:

Wonderfully captured Carolyn. If this is the result of foul weather, let it rain.

I love the image, Carolyn. The Helleborus is a green flower that always like to wear very colored dresses. I like the angle, the clearness, the colors, everything.
Take care.

I think this is a really lovely shot of the hellebore, Carolyn. The droplets somehow nicely echo the central green elements, and the overall composition and subtle blend of colours make for a very fine image.

Thanks everyone for your comments! They are all very appreciated. I have many more shots from that day's indoor shooting so you may see more lenten rose pictures.
