The misty atnosphere is great, and the egrets add a lot. Nice pose and colors.
I wonder if it's possible to bring out more detail in the dark lower front of the rhino?
I think Viveza would do a good job with this.
Really nice image!

Jagdeep, this is a great moment captured in a moody environment which resulted in a very compelling image. Looking at your techs I can only say that perhaps a narrower aperture would have increased sharpness throughout from the rhino's nose to the furthest egret, without compromising the BG. This is just a minor suggestion though to improve a great image (especially if printed large). :toast:

Very nice image :toast: The misty moodiness of it and the egrets both add to the story and feel. You've handled the lighting here very nicely.

Hi Jagdeep,

Very, very nice. Love the mood, the lighting on the rhino, the egrets, the gradual transition from in-focus foreground (and subjects) through to the soft background...this one works really well for me. I have no real nits...any slight changes to composition (like perhaps a slight shift of the subject towards the left side of the frame??) would simply be issues of personal preference...

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...

Excellent shot with the egrets on the rhino, I like the side light, the straight on look and the overall mood of this scene with the grasses and misty background, great job in getting this, well done.

What a great photo Jagdeep :^) I love the Rhino's expression; seems like he amiably suggesting, "C'mon, if the Egrets feel safe catching a ride with me, how dangerous could I really be?!?!?" ;^p

love the soft light, head-on angle and piggybacking egrets here Jagdeep...

the Cattle Egrets love hanging around rhinos in Africa as well.

A powerful image, Jagdeep. Looks like its wearing body armor and yet the mist and the Cattle egrets seeming at home up there, all goes to give this an ominous feel of softness yet underlying danger.

Lovely 'mood' to this early morning image. You can actually feel the dew on the grass and smell the fresh morning air! I, too, would vote for moving the subject a little to the left of the frame. :toast:
