Blue Tit

Gallery: Regional: UKNPPosted March 29, 2011190 views15 comments
One from this morning, Blue Tit sat on a King Alfred's Cake. I think I'm correct in the fungi ID, but if I'm not then the correct ID would be appreciated.

1/250th @ f5.6 -1/3rd iso1250 ( 75% of FF, Set up perch, OOF tree in the BG removed, and two bags of sunflower seeds used to pay Mr Blue Tit to sit on that bloody fungus  )

Thanks for the feedback on my last post and thanks for looking.

Andy...

Excellent Andy :toast:

Maybe just a bit too central but thats minor.

I am surprised that after 2 bags of sunflower seed he has not crushed the fungi

Delightful!
Great, sharp little bird, good colors and perch, and that fungus adds a lot of extra interest.
Well-done!

Hi Andy

Love the image although the colours look a little subdued - did you save in sRGB.

Hi David,

Yes, I always convert to sRGB for web use, but I know what you mean about the colours as they do look a little flat, and to be honest I thought it was down to poor light at the time of shooting. Maybe reprocessing is in order.

I'm glad you told us it was standing on a fungus, I thought at first it had badly swollen feet
Well captured Andy.
