Pair of Willets

From Fort Desoto a few weeks ago. A bit of a crop to bring them into the center of the frame. I'm not too keen on bright reflections from the water, but this is one of few where I've been able to get more than one bird in decent focus. Larger image provided.

Great job getting both of these Willets in focus, Bill. Beautiful lighting and great eye contact from both birds. I think the composition works really well. Congrats on a great image.

Nice job getting both the willets sharp and in profile, Bill. I am surprised you were able to do it with f4. Looks like you could have gone with a smaller aperture too. The mirror image poses of the two willets catch the eye. I like that you got both of them unobstructed and the reflective lights on their feathers. Looks like very nice light. Congrats on an excellent image!

Bill, this is really nice. I like the matching poses and the comp. DOF worked out really well for f/4.

Nice atch - they are almost mirror images of each other.
Wish they were just a bit more separated- but terrific shot!
Nice colors, water, and poses.

That's a neat shot Bill, I like the opposing poses and the lighting. If you want to try and get more than 1 bird in focus on a regular basis you need to stop down as you shot this one wide open. :toast:

Nice image. I like the way their heads/beaks are kind of stacked. Reflected light on the belly of the bird is pleasing.
