Bright Red + REPOST

Time for a different flower to work. I choose this one (don't know what type of flower this is) because I really struggle with the highly saturated, bright red colors.

D7000
150 mm macro
ISO 100
f 5.6
0.8 seconds
-0.67 EV

As always, comments and critiques welcome.

Steve: This is another variety of gerbera. I like your POV showing some of the center this time. Very nice handling of the reds IMO. Top notch shot. >=))>

Great subject separation Steve and the reds look rich and perfect to me. Very well done for my tastes.

Excellent job on colour management Steve. Only suggestion is to crop tighter. There is alot of negative space that takes away from the main attraction for my tastes.

Thanks for the comments! I took Bob's suggestion and cropped out some of the negative space.

Yep, reds are tough to translate, if you ask me. You've done a fine job with that here. Again, the lighting is excellent. Very well done.

Your ability to show separation of subject from BG is great. Well chosen settings in my opinion. :toast:

The reds look excellent to me and I enjoy the light on the stem as well as the bloom. The crop is a wonderful alternative to the original!
