Spring at 75 mph!

My wife and I went to visit our youngest daughter in college in Arkansas about this time last year. While my wife was driving, I was playing. I tried different f/stops, shutter speeds, and panning as we drove by Redbud trees and Dogwoods. This one was one of the more interesting exposures I had. And it was a panning shot.
I would love to know what you think of it.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

I like this...the strong tree trunks add a certain stability to the scene. If this were a place of familiarity...perhaps I would want to frame it. You've created a fleeting mosiac look...interesting...but, can you repeat the outcome?

I love it! The warm, spring greens are inviting. The motion blur gives this image the feel of smudged pastels. nicely done.

Beautiful image Morris. I like the effect very much. It certainly makes me think of Spring. I'd love to see more of these, if you intend to pursue the technique. Even so though, I'd be very pleased to have this one in my portfolio.

Wonderful shot Morris, I have played around with this type of shots often and would consider this one a success! Beautiful movement and colours!

Love it! Great spring colors from the new leaves, just enough motion blur, and great presentation.
Don't understand the "repeat the outcome?" question - many of our shots are totally unique and could never be duplicated..

Morris:
Love this on my lounge room wall. The image is not so much about trees but more what the trees are saying... 'sunshine and blue sky'. Well done :toast:

Thanks everyone. :wavey:
Ken, I guess that's part of the appeal in this for me, is that there is no way I can duplicate this again. And I think fleeting is the operative word for my feeling of it. Especially at that speed. I think Sandy is right in saying this really is true for many of our shots anyway.
I have other shots I will post later from this trip, but none look like this. Thanks, Ken!

Hi Morris! This is a very cool image. Great spring colors and I think the term Ken used, fleeting mosaic, fits perfectly. This really would look great blown way up, like 4' X 6', and hanging in a large room. Excellent job!

Morris, I think it's lovely! It's extremely eye-catching and even more pleasing on closer look. I like how the foreground is so blurred and yet most of the tree trunks are not. -Vince

Morris: HOW COOL IS THIS?!?!?! There is a flag on the play though for failure to provide a larger version. Great concept and execution. 2+ thumbs up! >=))>

Morris, the result is a pleasant impressionistic look. There are enough focal points within this vivid composition. Thanks for sharing, congrats on WP!

Fantastic abstract Morris! Congrats on The EP! I find myself doing the same thing when it is my husband's turn to drive going to Maine or else where. Only difference, yours came out wonderfully.
