Hanalei Bay sunrise

This is one of two sunrises that we experienced during our way to short stay on Hanalei Bay. It was so difficult taking pictures like this from the deck of the condo while drinking my morning coffee, when I remembered to stop taking pictures. The second sunrise was almost as good. (5D, 24-70 f2.8 @ 27mm, 1/800 @ f/5.0, -1EV).

Amazing, and powerful sunrise sky! A couple of issues with the processing. It feels titlted even though a sceen crop shows it to be pretty level. There are some halos around the tree trunk/branch in the upper left. Maybe the shadows in the tree and foreground are a little contrast heavy? Nice!

Just beautiful, Mark! Lovely sky. The tree might work better for me if it were framing the entire left side, rather than just the corners. A minor nit on the presentation - a white border, or at least a stroke would work better to separate the black parts of the fg from the border. As it is, the border melds with image.

The sweep of the clouds is the kicker in the comp and makes this one special. No place like Hanalei is there?
