Red Kite

A Red Kite photographed a few years ago at Gigrin Farm Kite feeding station in Mid-Wales, UK.

The camera I had then had a very slow frame rate so I found it better to just take single photos, one pass, one click, one photo, usually ending up in the bin lol.
This is one of the few I kept.

Konica/Minolta Dynax 7D
Sigma 50-500
1/1000th
f6.3
ISO 200
+0.3 stop exposure compensation
500mm
Hand held
I cloned out a numbered tag off the front of one wing, yeah, I know some would call that cheating but I prefer the shot without it, let's call it artistic license

The head looks nice and sharp...the stare is quite intense too.
