According to my birds of South-East Asia handbooks, we have 39 different species of Bulbul flying around Thailand and Malaysia, of which I've only managed to photograph 10 species thus far but, to my eye, 10 of the most attractive :^)
The one I'm showing you today is of a Straw-Headed Bulbul, which was one the five species of Bulbul I was fortunate enough to come across and photograph during my recent trip to Malaysia. This was also shot from my little boat on the river, but in a slightly calmer stretch than those in which I encountered the Kingfishers ;^)
PP: Cropped by approximately 50%; reset the White Balance to Daylight to add a little more warmth to the colours; worked on the BG to reduce the noise; cloned out a number of overlapping leaves from the top RH corner and directly to the right of the subject.
As always, thoughts and suggestions most welcome :^)
Kind regards,
Ashley

Rob: There's more to come :^) Oh, and re the crop, you're right, I probably should have left a bit more room along the bottom and RHS of the frame; if I make it a print I'll certainly remember to do so before hand ;^)
Thanks again :^)
