Tulip In Motion

Another shot from the explorations during a super low neap tide. This Banded Tulip had likely picked up the scent (or is it taste?) of a nearby Atlantic Giant Cockle that was in trouble and was heading in search of it. Tulips are predatory. I have a shot of two Tulips attacking the Cockle from when I walked back this way a little later.

7D 100-400 IS on HH ISO 400 1/250 F 11 About a 40% crop.

Very nice. The pattern on the shell isolated against the sand works well. The hint of sun from the right really makes the shape stand out also.

The angle of the light, and the reflection on the sand are really nice. The image seems to glow. I love the little details in this shot, and the rich, deep colors are beautiful as well.

Love the dimension and the way you used the light. This has lots of "eye interest". :toast:
