Swept Away

The water flow of this rivulet on Inverness Beach, Nova Scotia is quite swift. While not too deep near the banks, it is near the center so I thought better not to stand in it with my camera gear especially since the sand was very soft. The water flow did give me the impression of being swept out to sea. I debated whether to convert to B&W, but felt the subtle color added to the mood. Taken a little after sunrise.

Please view large to get swept away!

Thanks for having a look. Appreciate your comments and critiques as always.

Eva, you depict the flow like a weightless veil, that´s great!

I like the minimalist feel to this - the monochrome-like colour palette suits it well.

The large version of this works much better for me than the standard one here - probably because I'm feeling a bit more like "in" the scene when looking at the large image, with all the water flowing around. Great illusion.

Nice lines and a quiet mood in this one, Eva. The large version does lend more power to your title. Very nice indeed.

I'm fascinated that you've done such a fine job of showing the moving water and yet created very serene image. The larger version show off the texture in the water so much better.

Like the laconic nature of the scene and the way it is enhanced by the color subtlety. The harmonic match between lines in the cloud and water streaks stood out to me - well done.

Beautiful, Eva, love the minimalist composition with almost all water and sky with just a touch of land. The water motion, while subtle, is superb.

Beautiful shot Eva, very serene. I like the "V" created by the water and sand leading the eye towards the other interesting elements in the scene. Large version is wonderful, thanks for posting.
