I creek in this image is running over a slab of Flathead Sandstone which lends its rich purplish tones to the current. I like the rhythm of the ripples and the rich colors. Comments and critiques welcome. Thanks for looking.

Wow! This is quite mesmerizing, Nancy. I like te diagonal lines a lot. The colors are varied and interesting. You might try a bit of selective shapening in the upper left--it looks a bit soft. Given that you were using a very long lens, DOF is at a premium, but you did well.

Very interesting image, I must say.

Good abstract image Nancy  ..I like the myriad pattern colors inside the diagonal lines...
Little bit of reality like a stone, or a leaf would add more to the picture..

Wonderful abstract Nancy ..love the diagonals, and as a person interested in water abstracts, i would rate this quite high. as the others say a small nit is that its looks a tad bit soft, but then it being an abstract, need to see it as it is ...welll done ..

I like the diagonal patterns & shapes in the abstract, makes you want to look deeper.
There's a lot left to the imagination here. Without your note I would be hard pressed to guess what this is..And as it should be
Well done :toast:

Lovely composition Nancy, and subject matter too. It looks a tad flat on my uncalibrated work monitor - I might consider boosting contrast (also saturation).

Nancy:
This is a great abstract! with very interesting lines and color. Wish there is something sharp in the image such as a line to let the eyes rest on rather than wandering round and round.

It looks very jewel-like, Nancy. A bit more saturation would maybe make it sparkle even more..

Beautiful ripple scene, Nancy. I love shooting scenes like this. I think the cyan pebble near the center sort of anchors this, but the bright spot at the very top is distracting. A slight crop from the top would make this even better IMHO.
