Tough to find enough light when deep in the forest, but I liked the habitat here and the dark and mystical mood.

I think you did well with the light you had. Plenty of detail and the dimness actually adds to the feeling of mystery these birds seem to evoke.

You sure did a great job in that low light. Lots of detail on the owl...looks like he was preoccupied with someone next to you. Sharon

I agree that you got good detail, and a great scene. I think that you could bring the exposure up a little though. :toast:

The larger image is a must see and contains a surprising amount of detail. It also appears to be a bit brighter. Good owl image.

I might be tempted to lighten this up a hair more, but this looks great. Nice habitat around the bird. :toast:

You caught this one just right, Sandy. I see them look around in that pose often. So stypical of the barred. Can't go wrong with that spanish moss, either. Very nice.

Great look at this owl in very nice setting, Sandy. It looks like you have really nice detail in the owl. I really like that you have kept the low light look to this, but I think you could raise the exposure just a tad without loosing that look.

I think your image represents the animal symbolism of the owl - Deep & intense.
"Deep in the forest" suits its mythical & mystical history.
Some bird specialists claim corvids--including jays and crows--are the smartest, while other authorities say parrots are most clever. If you want to settle to the problem quickly, ask any six-year-old and you'll learn that no bird is wiser than the owl
Well done Sandy :toast:
