While looking for s-curves in the Virgin River my buddy said "look up!"
Thanks for the C & C's!

Your image is close to an abstract, and this is a good idea in this case. The two-dimensional appearence of the leaves together with the background, contrasted by the three-dimensional trunk and branches works very well. The texture of the bark adds a lot to this effect. Beautiful colors.

The colors of the leaves and the red rock behind really work well together. The curve of the tree really adds graphic interest tot he image.

A very enjoyable picture. The S curve and the color contrast between the yellows and reds works very well.

Very nice, Justin. I like the curves a lot. I would like to see the darks a little deeper to bring out more texture in the bark of the tree. The warm tones work very well.

IMO this has to be one of the nicer abstracts from this area. Wonderful color and comp, you may want to bring your buddy along more often.

Justin,
This is simply fantastic. Right up my alley in terms of subject matter. Everything works beautifully here from the composition, colors and processing. More importantly, I just love the gentle flow of the trunk and how you've filled the frame with all the supporting color. Just magnificent. whew!

The flowing trunk line is the star of the show here, but everything else is working too. Great color and detail compliment the form.
