Thanks for the comments on my last image. I knew is was nice but had no idea it would get the response it did. This is a similar image from the same sublime morning in Yosemite. Curious if this one is as strong as the last.

Cheers!

Without comparing to the other image, this one is a beaut! It really captures the magic of Yosemite after a good snowstorm. :toast:

Another gorgeous shot! I think it's every bit as strong. I'm actually struggling to decide which comp I like best. I think I'm leaning toward this one. You said it, "sublime".

Very nice , winter wonderland indeed. The previous one worked stronger (for me, subjectively) through it's composition.

Very stong, imo - perhaps more than the other.

The mirror-like reflections are nice and I like the variations in the snow covered trees. A fine image but I think I liked the other one better.

I am not a great fan of B&W, but his one works really well because of the dark of the trees and the white of the snow. Fine image.

Another gorgeous capture Jason. The peacefulness and soothing nature of this sets it apart. I really can't decide which image I like best - both are superb.

You had quite an adventure there. I like how the snow gives this an almost IR look. Very lovely.

Jason,

This is Epic! Too me a few looks back and forth, but in the end, I think this is the stronger image. Interesting, what puts this over the top for me is the atmosphere of the mist and clouds top-center. It sets such a magical mood to this.

I'm really, really, really mad at myself now for not going. But I can't begrudge you guys for such magical conditions. Awesome. This has got to rank up there with one of the very best non-icon images from Yosemite.

Can't wait to see the other 48 sheets!

Jason, this is just as sweet as it can be. Beautifully executed. You did fine job with the conversion to B&W. I've done some conversions from Astia and find that it's wider dynamic range is a plus for this. I'd love to see a print of this some time.

Well done!

Maybe not quite as sublime as the previous one, but no slouch. Your print quality is beautiful.

Beautiful, Jason, and it captures that wonderful, still feel that is so much a part of Yosemite when the fog is blanketing the valley. I might consider brightening the whites just a snitch, perhaps only .1 or .2 and burning down the lower right corner, again by -.2 or -.1. That said, it is still a really lovely image.

Another beauty, Jason! You've really nailed this look with the back and white and heavy snow. Your tones are just fantastic, full of life and contrast, yet bright, welcoming and dreamy.

Hi Jason, I went to your website and compared both images. They are both great but I prefer the first image a little more. I think it's whites and the reflection.

Jason, I like this image much more than the previous one. The texture of this image combined with the composition speaks to me. The layers of the trees and the mysterious light in the clouds are outstanding. This is an outstanding image!

Somehow I missed this one previously - stunning image and hard to choose between this and the other in your gallery but I think I just prefer this one for its slightly more moody feel and incredible sense of depth.
