Canon 1D Mark 4 With EF 500mm f4 & 1.4 tc
1/1250 sec, F 6.3, ISO 500

Well in a departure from my recent owl shot here is another creature that shares the marsh. I kind of liked the water droplets and angled approach. The head is a little softer than I would have liked but I am still happy with it.

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Nice capture. We have a good number of the GBH's around Cheyene Bottoms and Quivira NWR,Kansas and have yet to get a good action head-on shot. Well done.

Interesting flight pose. The droplets are a nice bonus I agree. Good isolation of the subject.

I especially like this frontal POV, and the water trail adds nicely Michael..
Well done :toast:

This is nice Michael. Like all of it. To be very picky, looks like the DOF was not quite enough to get the head tack sharp. Back of the bird is tack, but DOF fell off before the head. Still nice, just being really picky.
