Headwaters--Pebbles

I keep coming back to my "water shots". I think maybe I'm addicted to them. This one shows clear water flowing rapidly over pebbles near the bank. I wanted the image to carry both the sense of flow and the energy of the water in a patterned abstract. Comments and critiques always welcome. Thanks for looking

An interesting abstract with fascinating lines and patterns. You might try burning down some of the brighter highlights.

If you have to be addicted to something - not a bad choice! The thumbnail wasn't very impressive, but I'm glad I pulled it up. I'm really loving this. A wonderful abstract with very engaging color and design. A gorgeous image!

I really like this A LOT Nancy, very cool abstract. I did a somewhat similar series while standing in a creek a couple of years ago... interesting you have those patterns in the water at 1/400th, I believe I shot at 1/50th or 1/60th. Cool!!

Go with the flow, Nancy. It's more fun to shoot what you like than what you don't like. This turned out quite nicely, I think.

Its fascinating all the patterns and lines. You have a great colour palette too. I think this one is more successful then your other post Headwaters-Pulse Nancy. Well done. Cheers

Neat image Nancy. Nothing wrong with continually working with the same subject, especially if you have results like this image.

Nice job Nancy. I tried something sililar awhile back and it just didn't work.
But this is almost like two images. The surface is interesting enough for a good study but when I refocus my attention to the creek bottom it's another scene altogether and just as fascinating.

Nancy,

This is fantastic. A wonderful, natural abstract and a terrific example of what one can do in broad daylight. And goes to show that there's never really a bad time for photography. Well seen and beautifully captured.
