Nice shot of a skittish bird Geoffrey. Nice and sharp too.
Couple of minor points.
The bird seems a little "hard" - maybe a tad drop in contrast.
The bare twig on the right with out a catkin looks kind of "lost" without one ! I know that sounds daft !
I personally am having a re think about these plain backdrops, - they seem to convey a "setup " message. I do it myself I know but am thinking hard !!
Good shot though.
Cheers

I think its lovely love the bg and the perch, I love to see these sort of shots done well like this and I also love a good habitat shot, which has to be done correctly else I think it can look messy and cluttered, this shot with oof twigs etc just wouldn t have looked as good. its good to have a variety of images in your portfolio

Very nice Love the way he's got each foot on a catkin. I can never get them on a perch at my feeder site - pesky little things
