Yes, very nice - I also like the leaves on the moss, they help to lift up the image. I agree about the black gap though.

The thumbnail does it no justice. This is an elegant composition in very peaceful light. (I guess I wax poetic). Much as many like to sneer at rules, three IS often the basis of a good composition. Also, giving one of the three whatevers dominance by size, position in frame, or lighting is also a good idea - you get two outa three. Finally, I think the big areas are triangles (of course you could show me a square and I'd say it was two triangles on top of each other). It's sometimes amazing how minor things can jump out though - that black hole unbalances it for me. If there were other black holes, ok, but alone and right there at "eye level" it's a vacuum for attention.

Great autumn colors in the picture. I agree about that three subjects in a picture, gives a good balance. I like how you have the surroundings with.

Hi David
Quite simply a pleasing and well balance composition that’s a joy to view. Or as Ronnie put it, “I like this one”.

Thanks for sharing
Best Regards
Matthew

David: I'm another that was unimpressed with the thumbnail and thoroughly impressed with the real thing. I like everything about this. ><>

Hi David

I love the rich earthy color. Cool levels on the mushrooms. Nice little punch of color from the leaves. Keep up the excellent work.
