Going through some of my shots from this summer at the Mercer Arboretum and came across this little checkerspot cavorting amongst the cone flowers. All comments welcome.>=))>

Nice DOF choice, Bill.
Like the colors, butterfly, and BG a lot - but all the imperfections in the central flower draw my eye and bother me a little. Easily corrected, if you wanted to..

Bill:
Beautiful BF, nice cone heads but wish the petals were better preserved. Nevertheless still a very good capture.

Very nice framing Bill!! I also wish the petals were a little less weathered, but in the end you cannot self-select the flower that butterfly is going to land on. Great job taking what mother nature handed you and making it work.

Fantastic DOF, POF and color scheme... shots like this are always difficult because you have to balance your elements but you did it perfectly while leaving some green around the flowers.

I like this very much Bill; the petals don't bother me at all. A great find in your archives!

A beautiful combination Bill. Thanks for sharing this summer beauty when the temps are below zero and snow's deep on the ground.

I like this a lot. Purple Cone Flowers are on of my favorite wild flowers and the butterfly really makes the image. I like the comp, dof, colors and background. The flower petals really don't bother me that's nature.
