European Beech Bonsai

The North Carolina Arboretum has one of the premier Bonsai collections in the country and is a favorite destination place for me to photograph.

This stand of European Beech was photographed this past Fall just before they moved their collection to their greenhouses.

A bit of post processing in Viveza and Color Efex Pro for interest and to soften the concrete wall in the background. Camera is a Nikon D70, on tripod and on a very warm Fall day.

Thanks everyone. I had fun working with this image. I work hard not to "over do" an image, but some just lead themselves for extra enhancing. And yes, it's great to look at as we sit here waiting for another round of snow in the next few days. Oh well, I guess we're not over winter yet. Thanks again for viewing and commenting.

The bright greens and yellows work together well, and the processing was excellent.
