Golden dragonfly

A picture of a dragonfly caught under direct sunlight, just before sunset, taken on last summer. Under a certain angle the brownish colour of the insect became golden, and I tried to obtain the best compromise with depth of field.
Nikon d90- nikkor 300mm F4 + TC 1,7x; ISO 250; F8; 1/60; tripod

Fabulous capture, great details and nice lighting. Good bg separation. The 300F4 is really one of the best lens for DF shooting. :toast:

Fabio: Spectacular BG and spectacular critter. The only thing that would make this better is if you could clone out the OOF stem(?) to the left of the DF. Really well done.>=))>

Beautiful dragonfly Fabio. Beautiful detail and background. The yellow stalk of oof grass is an eye magnet but I still like this, especially the lacy detail of the wings. The background color makes the wings look like a stained glass window.
