Salto Angel Falls, Canaima National Park, Venezuela
Another one from my recent trip to Venezuela... playing a bit with B&W conversions.
Comment/Critique for improvement always welcome!

Unreal. The green conversion in the trees along the banks looks a bit muddy (oops...pun). Clouds/falls/rock look epic

Very powerful, and the b&w conversion is top notch and works well here. I like the perspective here, too.
The lower cascade looks a bit overexposed, but that's pretty minor.
Wonder if the previous poster was referring to the mist covered trees near the bottom of the falls?

Maybe the most dramatic of this series. The immense scale of the cliffs and waterfall are revealed perfectly here.

I've seen dozens of color shots of these falls. None holds a candle to your BW conversion. Very dramatic. About the only negative, which has nothing to do with the quality of this image, is that the POV (and probably the lens you used) have foreshortened the scale of these falls and we don't get a true sense of how unbelieveably high they are.

I like this-the sense of height is captured well here!

@ed/john - referring to the trees in the fg on either side of the bank.

This is an extremely powerful and moving image. Great work - I love the skies and the way you've handled them in PS!

What a view! Great processing too. Would love to get there one day myself.

Looks majestic! Love the spray at the bottom of the waterfall. Adds some magic to the scene.

Fantastic image. Excellent BW conversion, though I would tone down the highlights in the lower falls to match the tonality of the upper falls

FANTASTIC! Great job with the B&W processing. I love the way the clouds are radiating out from the summit. Isn't that one of the most magical places you've evr been? I love Canaima!

Edward,
Seeing this, I don't know why we don't see many more images of this waterfall. maybe it's the remoteness of it that keeps the masses away. Anyway, it's a great view from your perspective. I think the conversion is excellent!

Thanks everybody for the comments...
Arild, Yes this water fall is huge... From Wikipedia: t is the world's highest waterfall, with a height of 979 m (3,212 ft) and a plunge of 807 m (2,648 ft).
Mike: Definitely the most amazing place I've ever been so far. Being my mother land I may be biased! :-)
