Texture Or Lines?

by Larry Fischer

I'm submitting this for the texture but it could be debatable. The lines are a strong feature of this photo, too.
These are Sycamore tree roots taken along a stream in NE Kansas.
High water has washed the soil away exposing the tree's life system.
Nikon d/300
Pseudo HDR rendition.

I love this image, Larry. Maybe you posted one like this before? I love the subject matter, the comp, the light, the colors, the foreground reflection.

Larry,
it seems to me a bas-relief. Really nice.

This is a very nice find. Too bad there is that one horizontal straight stick.

If you want a debate, im happy to give you one:
Crop tight, goodbye top 1/2, rhs 1/4, and lhs 1/6, so you're left with the roots and reflection. Sharpen, and repost at full size. Then, the debate begins and ends.

Barbara,
I did post a similar photo on Landscape. It included more of the tree. Now Stan wants me to crop this second photo. It was taken to get in close but apparently not close enough

And, after Stan's remark about cropping, I think this is more about lines. In my opinion. I won't both with the re-post---don't even know how that's done.
