Pine Trees in Rain

Backing up some files this morning and came across this image from Colorado this past fall. The sun was out and it started pouring rain. In the large version, you can kind of see the rain, which is very evident on the raw file.

I am on the fence about it and wondering if you all have any thoughts and or suggestions. Thanks

Those colorful starlets amongst the plain dark greens is amazing.

I like it. Wish those pines weren't blocking that much of the aspens. I also think adding a bit of shadows might help.

I like it too. (I think these are cottonwoods, with lodgepole pine, white spruce and subalpine fir). I think you might be able to get more bang out it if you crop a bit allround but not centered. But its pretty.

Beautiful shot; I bet it was amazing in person. On my lousy work monitor it looks a bit flat (due to the rain no doubt). If it is actually on the flat side, I might boost contrast a little. Also, I like Katherine's crop suggestion.

This is very nice Michael. I really like how the color stands out against all the green. I like the comp the way you have it. I'm sure the rain has probably taken away from the contrast some which is ok with me, but could also see adding a little. I think it is very nice and enjoy looking at it.

Beautiful image Michael. The aspens stand out well & prominent amongst the other pine trees. Image has a very artistic appeal.

Nice image, kind of wish that second smaller patch of yellow trees wasn't there, but then again there's nothing you could have done about that, just a minor nit though, IMO of course.

Very cool perspective Michael, I like the "dampened" green too.
