The picture was taken on a foggy morning this week in the Danube floodplains in Lower Austria.

I love the fog. I also love the log. But I dont like the soggy bog. its just not very aesthetic. Not saying that all shots have to be pretty--just saying that the two parts i like here dont mesh with the part that i dont, which unfortunately occupies 2/3 of the fg here.

Very interesting! I love the way the warm greens stand out from the drab surroundings. Beautiful image.

An eerie and moody image. I suggest burning down the areas on either side of the mossy log to focus on the background of the image.

I like your comp. I do agree with michael to burn down the areas on either side of the log a bit to emphasize the background of the image more

Ha, this must have been either monday or tuesday right?
Looks good to my eye. I really like the misty background. The danube floodpains generally look great in fog and hazy conditions. I also like how you worked the moss-covered log into the composition. A picture that conveys a place and its features very well.

Great scene. If it were mine, I might burn/darken the areas around the log just a little to add some more emphasis to the moss covered log.

I like the well controlled light here and how your comp brings order to the chaotic forest.

Interesting Peter. I like the mossy trunks and the way you have the one angled.

The conditions are awesome here Peter. The processing looks spot on too. The greens on the log lead my my eye up and into the picture that I don't see much of the boggy bottom. Very well done. Cheers

My kind of photo. Nature at your feet. The beautiful and the mundane. I think that this works perfectly. For me it tells a real story and not just a fairytale!
