Pensacola Bay has sand that has a lot of red clay in it. Unlike P'cola on the Gulf side! I took this several years ago out my friend's back door. The tide was down, and these wonderful ripples stayed.

The little round pebbles really make this image. Personally I might darken the highlights a shade, but that's just my preference.

I know they look like pebbles, but this is all muddy sand. The "pebbles are mud that has been squeezed out from underneath the surface of the sand. Air escapes and "bubbles up" as the sediment compacts and the air escapes to the surface. Kind of like puffballs.

I think you're right. The highlights are a little too bright. Maybe the shadows should be deeper, too.. Any opinions out there....This might also work well in B&W. I'll play with it some more.
Thanks Paul!

Lucy, this is great texture. I agree with your thoughts about the highlights and shadows.

Some great textures and patterns! A little overexposed perhaps. :wavey:

The textures and colors are beautiful, the pebbles add interest; perhaps I'd have slid the Brightness lever down just a tad, the tiniest bit.
