.....on Inverness Beach. It has been a while since I posted an image from my favorite place. I am not sure this works for everyone with the funky sun star so I appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks for looking. Thanks for your comments and critiques.

Beautiful conditions Eva. That's a great lead in line and the clouds reflections are very nice. I also like the light on the ripples in the river. I don't mind the funky sun star at all. Very well done. Cheers

I can do with or without the sunstar. I don't dislike them, but don't miss them either if not part of an image. I love the sweeping curve in the creek, and the "blueness" of the situation.

Good work. I think the sunstar makes a great focal point here. Lots of nice patterns, lines and curves in the composition.

The sweep of the water works perfectly for drawing me to the sunstar.

Eva, the curved beach draws the eye right to the sunstar, so it works gresat for me. Wonderful sky reflected in the rippled water.
Beautiful!

Love those sweeping curves of the water, Eva, and the wonderful texture and color in the sand in your outstanding composition. The sunstar does provide a nice focal point. Beautiful work.

Very nice, Eva. I really like the comp you came up with here. As Bill mentioned, a very crisp and clean feel to this. Looks like a great morning to be there and enjoy it!

Dont look funky to me--funky would have curved rays
Another Inverness classic, Eva--i really like it!
The flare immediately around the sun is next to impossible to control, but i think you could eliminate the one spot directly left of the sun, that the only one that catches the eye. :wavey:

The sunstar is fine. I really like the tans and blues in your palette here, Eva! Also, the great light is making sweet reflections. The lead-in lines in your comp are highly effective. Very well done.

works for me Eva, I really love the comp, gives a nice expansive view, and the curve in the river leads the eye right through the scene. I like the sunstar as well.

I love the perspective created by the curved lines and the sun star is perfectly placed. Definitely works for me!

I like the sunstar and the bright processing. I also like the low camera angle that accentuates the lead in.

Eva,

I agree with comments about the crispness captured here; clean colors and the clarity is really nice. The sunstar isn't too funky really; one kinda expects the flares much of the time. Often times if the sunstar is too perfect, it looks "digital" or unreal. I also like the placement and the overall composition.

I can almost feel a breeze looking at this image, lovely sense of space and very naturalistic colours. Tristan

This has quite a different feel than most of your posts from the beach. It's a very bright mood despite being only on the brink of dawn. As sunbursts go, this one is pretty "funky", but I don't think it's very distracting.

Love the sweeping lines, reflections and variation in texture captured here. The sun star doesn't bother me the slightest here. I might be inclined to selective apply a color burn to some of the fg. I was thinking that would really make those wonderful lines and textures standout even more. Very nice work!

Eva, I like the atmosphere you captured in this shot, the optical phenomenons just emphasize the blinding sunlight.
