Evening Glow

Evening Glow, southwestern Alberta

Last September I spend a few days exploring new locations in southern Alberta foothills. On this particular evening I came across this beautiful little valley with a fall color at its best. As the sun set, a warm light reflected of a blue sky illuminating the landscape for a brief moment.

Thank you for having a look and leaving a comment.

Nice warm cool contrasts Wieslaw, I'm a sucker for those. They make the foliage pop against the rest of the scene and enhance the mood. It's subtle and I like that.

Amazing how the yellows glow on that blueish green background! Just gorgeous. I love the composition too, the trees at the bottom do a wonderful job at framing the scene.

Beautiful light and colors!
Love the golden glow of the trees against the blue-green foliage.

It seems to me that the center is a dead zone and all interest is around the edges. Maybe some dodge and burn would help here, especially in the water area. My 2cents

Loved the blue tones in the image (especially the reflection in water) interlaced with the yellow trees. Simple and neat composition Wieslaw.

There's a beautifully subtle light-quality in this, Wieslaw.

Wieslaw,

What a lovely and spacious landscape. I say that because I really like layout; the river meandering through and the placement of all the aspens in their autumn glory.

Just my personal choice, but I think the blue/green is a little strong throughout the meadow area. Regardless, it's a beautiful landscape.

Gorgeous composition and I love how the trees glow against the background. I'm with Lon in that I find the bluish green tones a bit too strong. I'd like to see them muted a bit. I don't find the mid-ground to be a dead space at all. Great work, Wieslaw!

Pretty. Just wish there were one more yellow tree in the center.

Nice, Wieslaw. Blue and gold work so well together. I also
like the inclusion of the serpentine creek.

I really, really like this, Wieslaw! The colors are great and the small s curve of the stream is perfect. Wish I could see it bigger! :toast:
