NS - Eastern Shore

This looks like a lovely painting Patricia. The reflected color and the composition are very nice.

Pleasant scene, but I'm a bit puzzled by the dramatic difference in contrast of the land in the bottom left versus the islands and sky. A bit of processing to even out the differences between those areas would make this stronger, as the bottom left corner feels a bit out of place as it is.

Kenn. In answer to your question, the background sunrise and islands are still in the morning fog... which the area gets an over abundance of... and it has lifted in the foreground. The fog is a daily event, as it rolls in and out all day with intermittent sunshine and/or rain depending on the day. I will post another image of the same area in man and nature where there is fog but not the sunrise.

My first impression was that the image was a bit soft, but it does seem to work OK with these colors and comp, and the fog makes it all perfectly logical. Bill's mention that it looks painting like seems quite accurate.

I like the glow and color on the horizon Patricia. Very painterly.
