Creek Candy

No Earth; no sea; no sky; and not even any land, but this is too big an area for macro, so I guess it's a landscape!

Prowling a freezing-thawing local creek, I found these recurring ice formations. Good subject for macro, I know, but I did could not get closer, and did not bring a long lens on this trip. I chose the landscape crop to show off the repeating forms in a long row.

Please see larger version.

I like this, and think it would work great as a large print. The ice formations are fascinating.

I like the textures in this a lot Wayne - also like the semi-pano format. Very nicely done.

Interesting layers for sure, I might crop a bit off the bottom to mirror the same width up top. Awesome image Wayne!

Wonderful ice forms you've found Wayne. I think I agree with Justin on equalizing the top and bottom layers of the sandwich. The crystalline forms in the center are very intriguing.

Really like the graphic quality to this, Wayne. Size doesn't matter.

I really like this one Wayne, but I agree with cropping the bottom a little. Nice choice for a B&W. :toast:

Well done, Wayne. I like how this one played tricks on my eyes until I saw what it really was.
