Hadada Ibis

Looked back through last years shots, and this unique Ibis is one of my favorite birds from 2010. Taken at the San Antonio Zoo..
The Hadada or Hadeda Ibis has a distinctively loud and recognizable haa-haa-haa-de-dah call that is often heard when the birds are flying or are startled, hence the name. It feeds mainly on earthworms, using its long scimitar-like bill to probe soft soil.

Stately bird, and some good focus on the subject. How does this qualify as a 'first impression'?

I rarely post to this forum. I looked there and it reads:

"A very first photo of a favorite natural subject".
This one of my favorites from my trip to San Antonio on business..
This is my first image of this bird, and it's a personal favorite, even if it is a "captive" bird.
So in all candor, I don't understand your question here.
Explain?
Please pull it it if it doesn't meet with your requirements..

I agree it does not look captured. You got great DOF on this and the color on the beak is important here.

Howard, this reminds me of a zoo Ibis I shot my second week with my camera. Good job of making this look not so zoo like.
