Male Blackbird

I'm assuming this is a male Blackbird? please correct me if I'm wrong.
It has the characteristic yellow beak of the male but it's body is brown like a female's.
Taken from the hide out my back yard.

Certainly a male, although with all those brown streaks in the plumage I guess quite a young one. Great portrait, but personally I would like to see it a tad smaller in the frame.

Hi Geoffrey

Definately a male - love the detail you have captured in the warm soft sunlight.

a bit large in the frame for me too, but still a very attractive blackbird image. Lovely light and background.

A lovely portrait with great detail but I personally prefer the bird a bit smaller in the frame. :wavey:

Like the side view and alert pose with just a hint of turn to camera. All tones seem to work nicely together. :toast:
