Processing looks fine to me Jack. A beautiful image. Like it very much. The pose is terrific but the brown splodge on the RHS draws my eye somewhat. :wavey: :toast:

Jack, I think this is brilliant. If you are going to fill the frame then this is the way to do it imo. The dark mark is a shame, but I 'd love this on my hard-drive. Processing would do as-is for me alright.

Looks fine to me .
Interesting image.
The brown oof area does drag the eye a bit- like its trying to be another eye.
Cheers

Hi Jack...

Perhaps a bit more on the techs, I feel that perhaps a touch more DoF would have helped here, the eye is only just a little soft... love the idea, the OoF brown has been covered,

Why are you not feeling confident in your processing? It is looking good here, perhaps increase the blacks a little, you need a good black somewhere in an image, no matter how small it is.

Speak soon...

Jack,

Pano crop works very well here, it helps to accentuate the eye contact. The detail is fantastic. A fine shot.

Thanks for the comments all, agree in entirely about the brown splodge.

Phil - you are probably right about the dof, this was f5.6 and i think the shutterspeed was 1/200 or about that.
As for processing i just can't seem to tell if i have over or under processed an image at the moment, all i ever do is levels, saturation and sharpening but at the moment i just don't seem to recognise when the image looks right. I put it down to lack of confidence. I'll give your blacks idea a go though

I really like it, shame about the smudge, maybe you could try and remove it? Cracking shot though very striking :toast:

Hi Jack, I love this one "the thinker" With the poor light you had you've really made the best of it and come out with a superb image :toast: :toast:

This is realy nice.I always like to see something new and in this case its the view of the underneath of the feet, it has almost a felt look about it.As with the last shot the eye detail is equisite. :toast:
