When I took my son for the first time with me to Grossglockner Alpine Road in Austria three years ago, we started our tour with good weather conditions. Arriving at its glacier, called Pasterze, heavy clouds hid the summit from us; they seemed to melt together with the glacier. Anyway it was a great experience for both of us to be so close to the highest mountain in our country. Therefore I did not eraze this shot, although I know it is not the very best ever taken in this place!

Peter, I would not have deleted this either. Even without the story. I like the forground interest with the color It gives real depth to the image and the Bg -although not as clear as might be desired shows the enormity of the glacier. I like it!

Good on you for keeping it. I particularly like the scale that the road brings to the scene. My only suggestion would be to crop off the top area that is overexposed.

Looks pretty good to me, Peter--i wouldnt crop a bit. I like the expansive view/depth, and the almost monochromatic tones from the ice/fog. Nice! :wavey:
