A Winter's tail

This is Adam's Falls in Linn Run park in western PA. The stream that feeds it is quite small and normally in winter this becomes a giant ice sculpture with little flowing water but we had a bit of a thaw and some rain that turned it into a waterfall again.

canon 50d, 10-22, 3-shot combo

thanks for looking. c&c welcome and please view larger version.

I think this is an awesome image Robert! Love the dynamic lines and perspective. The ice along with actual water flowing is very cool.

That much ice with that much flowing water is a surprise to see. I think your POV really emphasizes that, too.

I love the perspective! Nice separation in tones between the frozen, and flowing water too. Nice!

Nice perspective. I guess my preference might be for a bit tighter comp to better emphasize the ice textures. Your blend is quite good, though the upper parts of the rock seem a bit light.

I agree with Tony about the tighter comp, and perhaps adding a little more contrast to those rocks might help emphasize the water and ice a bit more, the shadows look a little to bright.

Great perspective on this one Robert. I like all the angles working together. I could see a crop here to, that would work off the top, or maybe darkening the top left corner to help keep the eye in the frame. Cheers

Like the others, I really like the perspective. Some slight cropping would emphasize the waterfall more. The icicles are really cool. Nice shot.

I really like the perspective you used here. As well as the conditions you had for the shot. Nicely done.

I really find this low vantage point to make the image.
