Earth and Sea

After a very hectic year that unfortunately kept me at arms length from NP we finally decided to take a well deserved and last minute vacation. Cabo San Lucas wasn't a place I would have intentionally picked but after 2 weeks I'm very happy we did. Sunrises and sunsets were exceptional every day and in this particular case I tried capture some of that wonderful early morning light while keeping the subject matter fairly simple.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by for a look.

As always your comments and thoughts are welcome and appreciated.

Scenes like this I have so often watched for hours, yet this picture is just an irretrieveable moment. You captured it in a unique and outstanding way.

Focus, clarity, light, colors, textures are all perfect.

I like this Mark, especially the way the waves seemingly overlap each other and the texture on the beach.

I think this a cool shot! I am wishing, since it is so close, that it was a 50/50 with some taken off the top... :toast:

Thanks all for the comments and Mark funny you mentioned that because I did think of making it a 50/50 split originally but in the end I decided to keep it as it is because I felt the subtle "sea green" colour at the top of the screen would have been lost. And I guess maybe because I was looking at the overall scene when I took the pic the green was more intense in my own mine...if that makes any sense. I am about to post the view that I saw when looking up from this image...it will be in Man and Nature if you are interested.

I like it, Mark. The textures, patterns and colors in the water are the perfect counterpoint to the sand in the FG.
